At Upper Lynstone we have a touring field offering 36 individual 10 amp electric pitches, all of which are extensively levelled, terraced and individually fenced. The pitches are fully grassed and a minimum of 11 metres wide. Fifteen of these pitches offer all weather hardstandings, suitable for touring and camping. Hidden anti-slip matting leads to the pitch, which offers a framed, hardstanding area with ample grass surround. The surface is finished with attractive granite chippings and is suitable for heavy duty pegs for awnings or tents. Pegs are available from reception if required for a small returnable deposit. In our second camping field, we offer a further 3 electric pitches and individual terraced pitches for camping. The booked camping field now offers an additional 6 electric pitches and 15 bookable camping pitches with a small open plan camping area.
Pitches are available from 12 noon, however, we do not allow any new arrivals after 9pm.
The main shower and toilet block is heated and offers spacious cubicles, a purpose built disabled wet room, covered dishwashing facility and chemical disposal. A small second toilet block has a family bathroom incorporating baby changing facility. Upper Lynstone has a family and couples only policy and no groups are allowed. Single hikers are welcome! Well behaved pets are allowed. Dogs must be kept on a lead whilst on site and in the interest of hygiene, exercised off the park. The coastal footpath adjoins the camp site and offers scenic walks to the coast and town with outstanding panoramic views.
This is possibly one of the best sites we have stayed at in these Covid times.
A lot of thought has gone into safe distancing and protection of the guests.... read more Every entrance to the site had hand sanitiser fitted to gates or posts each and every water waste and dustbin sites had sanitisers, the site amenities were regularly cleaned at different times of the day. This left you feeling very safe. The site is well maintained and looked after. The rear exit to the site gives you a direct route to the South Coast path, approx 350 metres. A quick walk from the front entrance all downhill gets you to the Bude canal in about 10 mins, it’s a few mins more on the way back as it’s uphill all the way. It’s not steep and easy uphill walking on the footpath. The staff and owners were very helpful and very informative about the local area.
We had a great time and will be looking to visit again next year.
